The reformed Grote Kerk ('Great Church') until the Reformation was known as St. Vitus. The church dates from the 15th century and has unique painted wooden vaults.

The Czech bishop and pedagogue Jan Amos Komensky, a.k.a. Comenius, during his lifetime never set a foot in Naarden. But after he died in Amsterdam in 1670 he was buried in this chapel, which today is known as the Comeniusmausoleum.

The former Gereformeerde Andreaskerk was built in 1895 and is in an eclecic style.

The Roman-Catholic St. Vituskerk dates from 1911 and is a neo-Romanesque building designed by J. Stuyt.
