Municipality in the south-east of the Achterhoek region, formed in 2005 by merging the former Wisch and Gendringen municipalities. Among the locations in this municipality are Varsseveld, Etten, Terborg, Silvolde, Ulft, Varsselder, Gendringen and Netterden.
Gemeente in het zuid-oosten van de Achterhoek, in 2005 ontstaan door samenvoeging van de voormalige gemeenten Wisch en Gendringen. Onder de plaatsen in deze gemeente zijn Varsseveld, Etten, Terborg, Silvolde, Ulft, Varsselder, Gendringen en Netterden.
Varsseveld's reformed church is a Gothic pseudo-basilica from the 15th- and 16th-century, but with a tower which dates part from the 13th, part from the 18th century.

The reformed church of Terborg consists of parts from three different centuries. It has a 16th-century Gothic choir, an 18th-century tower and a 19th-century nave. In 1854 a portal and sacristy in early Neo-Gothic style were added.

The catholic St. Georgius is a Neo-Gothic church built in two stages. In 1877 a tower, designed by A. Tepe, was added to an older church, built in 1842. In 1913-1914 the church was replaced by the current building, designed by J. Stuyt.

The reformed church has a one-aisled nave in Romanesque style from the 13th century. Although the heavy tower also looks Romanesque, it was built in ca. 1425. Shortly after the taller Gothic choir was added.

The St. Petrus en Paulus is a three-aisled cruciform basilica with a large, wide tower. The church was designed in Traditionalist style by A.J.M. Vosman and was built in 1957-1959.
