Veldhoven municipality (NB)

Veldhoven is village and a municipality in the south-east of the Noord-Brabant province. It consist of the former villages Veldhoven Dorp, Meerveldhoven, Oerle and Zeelst, each of which have a roman catholic church.

 

 

 

 

 

The St. Cecilia in Veldhoven Dorp was built in 1913-1914 by W. te Riele in neo-Gothic style. It replaced a predecessor that was built in 1834 on the same location. It was enlarged by C. Geenen in 1957-1958.

The neo-Gothic St. Willibrordus in Zeelst was designed by C. Weber and built in 1873. In 1906-1907 a new spire with corner turrets was added to the tower by J. Stuyt. In 1951-1952 the church was widened by C. Geenen.

The St. Lambertus in Meerveldhoven is a building in Traditionalist style, designed by B. Clement and built in 1952.

The St. Johannes de Doper in Oerle is another neo-Gothic church, this one designed by  W.Th. van Aalst and built in 1911-1912.
