This page covers the part of Rotterdam south of the river Nieuwe Maas, which comprises the neighbourhoods Charlois, Feijenoord, IJsselmonde, Hoogvliet, Pernis and Rozenburg. For the time being, the page only shows churches in the neighbourhoods Charlois, itself a former municipality annexed by Rotterdam in 1895, the Feijenoord neighbourhood and the village of Ijsselmonde which was added to Rotterdam in 1941.
Deze pagina heeft betrekking op het deel van Rotterdam ten zuiden van de rivier de Nieuwe Maas, dat de wijken Charlois, Feijenoord, IJsselmonde, Hoogvliet, Pernis en Rozenburg omvat. Voorlopig toont de pagina alleen kerken in de wijken Charlois, zelf een voormalige gemeente die in 1895 door Rotterdam werd geannxeerd, de wijk Feijenoord en het dorp Ijsselmonde dat sinds 1941 deel uitmaakt van Rotterdam.
Charlois
The Reformed church of Charlois is a building in early neo-Gothic style. Although the tower has a medieval look to it, it was built in 1660. The church itself was built in 1867-1868 and was designed by J. Visser.

The (Geref.) Bethelkerk is a cruciform church in Rationalist style, designed by Tj. Kuipers and built in 1910.

The St. Michaël en St. Clemens was built in 1926-1927 as the church of a capuchin monastery but also served the catholic parish of Charlois. It was designed by capuchin friar F. van Dennenburg in Traditionalist style, with the advise of architects Kraayvanger. In 1951-1952 the front was extended and the current facade added.

Het gebouw werd ontworpen door kapucijner broeder F. van Dennenburg in Traditionalistische stijl, met advies van architecten Kraayvanger. The (Geref.) Pniëlkerk is a church in Expressionist style, designed by A.J. van Doorn and built in 1931. It's nowadays used by the Church of the Nazarene.

Feijenoord
The catholic St. Kruisvinding is a church in Traditionalist style, designed by H.P.J. de Vries and built in 1925-1927. It's part of a catholic complex that also comprises a monastery and schools.

The church of the Nederlandse Protestanten Bond is a small building in Expressionist style, designed by J. Uijterlinde and built in 1928. It's now a Jewish cultural center.

The church of the Restored Apostolic Church was built in 1929 and was designed in a Modernist style by J.J.P. Oud. It was the first church in the Netherlands in Modernist style, a style that was not used again in church architecture until the rise of Functionalism around 1950. The building is currently used by the Salvation Army.

The reformed Vredeskerk was designed by the influential catholic architect M.J. Granpré Molière and built in 1933. The church is in Traditionalist style and is currently used as a Serb-Orthodox church.

Ijsselmonde
The reformed church or Adriaen Janszkerk is a three-aisled cruciform pseudo-basilica with a tower from the second half of the 15th century. The originally Gothic church was radically enlarged by W.Ch. Kuijpers in 1923 with a bigger transept transept and a new choir in neo-Gothic style.

De hervormde kerk of Adriaen Janszkerk is een driebeukig kruisvormige pseudo-basiliek met een toren uit de tweede helft van de 15e eeuw. De oorspronkelijk gotische kerk werd radicaal vergroot door W.Ch. Kuijpers in 1923 met een groter transept en een nieuw koor in neogotische stijl.
